The Tesla Powerwall 3 is the newest generation of Tesla’s smart home battery, made to store solar energy, provide you with reliable backup during outages, and help you maximize your energy independence. With a sleek design and powerful performance, the Telsa Powerwall 3 is the ideal solution for modern residential energy systems.
Each Tesla Powerwall 3 unit gives you 13.5 kWh of usable energy storage with a powerful 11.04 kW continuous AC output, making it suitable for homes with high energy requirements. Made for monophase installations, the telsa Powerwall 3 includes an integrated inverter with 3 MPPTs and supports up to 20 kW of DC solar input.
The tesla Powerwall 3 also comes with a weatherproof IP67 aluminum enclosure, supports wall or floor mounting, and can work in temperatures from -20°C to +50°C. It also supports modular expansion (uniquely with the Tesla Powerwall 3 Expansion), allowing you to connect multiple units for even greater storage capacity.
Fianlly, the Powerwall 3 is fully integrated into the Tesla App, allowing you to monitor energy production, consumption, and battery status in real time, and customize the energy settings to fit your needs.
✅ Can the Tesla Powerwall 3 be installed without Tesla solar panels?
Yes, the Tesla Powerwall 3 can be installed without Tesla solar panels. Unlike previous tesla battery versions, the Telsa Powerwall 3 is compatible with third-party solar systems. Thanks to its integrated solar inverter with multiple MPPTs, it can directly manage solar input from non-Tesla solar panels, including bifacial or PERC panels like the Trina Vertex S+.
This makes the Powerwall 3 a flexible solution for customers who already have an existing solar setup or prefer to use solar panels from another brand. However, to ensure compatibility and optimal performance, it must be installed by a certified Tesla Powerwall installer, who can properly configure the system to work with your specific equipment and energy needs.

The Tesla Powerwall 3 features a built-in solar inverter with 3 MPPT inputs and supports up to 20 kW DC of solar input while delivering 11.04 kW AC continuous output. This eliminates the need for third-party inverters, significantly simplifying the installation process.
Backup Capacity
Each Tesla Powerwall 3 unit offers 13.5 kWh of storage capacity and is capable of starting heavy electrical loads rated up to 185 A LRA, making it ideal for most residential homes. Its backup capability ensures energy continuity during grid outages (needs pairing with Tesla Backup Gateway 2).

The Tesla Powerwall 3 is made with an aluminum and glass exterior and certified to IP67, the Powerwall 3 resists extreme weather, including rain and snow. It operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C, making it ideal for installation across various French climate zones.

The Tesla Powerwall Powerwall 3 supports modular expansion, allowing up to 3 expansion units behind a single Powerwall 3, storing up to 94.5 kWh and delivering 44 kW of AC power. This enables easy scaling as household energy demands increase, perfect for all household owners.

Once installed by a certified Tesla Powerwall installer, you can take full control of your energy usage with the Tesla App. Capable of customising the system behavior, monitor solar production, storage levels, and backup reserves in real-time.
Easy Installation
The Tesla the Powerwall 3 weighs just 130 kg per unit and can be installed by only two people, either wall-mounted or floor-mounted. Thanks to this, the Tesla Powerwall 3 is significantly easier to install than other convential batteries.
